All of a sudden you see the fugly search bar on every YouTube video embeds. Though it is now made optional due a lot of negative responses over the web about the newly added feature. There is an explanation to why it added the search bar here. But who and why on earth was it approved? Every one was wondering if it was due to a virus.
Besides, I am not loving the new YouTube design. Google who standed firm with simplicity is making the site a grafitti. You can now see more ads than every on YouTube as it its desperate to get back some ad revenue. Anyway, I guess we will have to live with it. I kinda hate how website start simple and they make it so complicated by adding ‘features’ to it as they think they are cool. The only one thing people use google search is it is simple. Its not distracting at all. Hope they stick to that path.
So, I wanted to post a quick tip on how we can remove the search bar from the embedded video if you are still getting it. Oh, you can find everywhere about this now. Nevertheless, at the end of the YouTube URL just add this key &showsearch=0 and you should see the search doesn’t show now. You can see other parameters on the YouTube API guide.
