WordPress just released version 2.7 (RC2). Its should soon see a final release but it looks like it is ready to be tested so as soon as 2.7 comes out you are front of the herds. 
I am thinking to testing simpleX on this version as it seems easy to update versions later on. The admin section looks impressive!
Why don’t you try it out too??
